Let’s get to know each other…

My name is Jonathan Owen Hoffner and my academic ventures have led me to the intersection of economics, journalism, and ministry, where I’m forging a path that combines logical thinking with thoughtful storytelling. As a sophomore at Wheaton College, I’ve cultivated these interests through both scholastic pursuits and hands-on experience.

In my role as manager of the Wheaton College baseball team, I have honed my operational and leadership skills as I coordinate the countless moving pieces that keep the program running smoothly. Beyond the diamond, I’ve found my calling in mentorship through Young Life at Wheaton-Warrenville South, where I guide high school boys in their faith journey.

Communication has always been at the heart of my endeavors. My award-winning journalism background, coupled with experience co-hosting a sports podcast, reflects my passion for crafting compelling narratives. This drive to connect and engage has only deepened in our increasingly digital world.

Looking ahead, I’m pursuing opportunities that bridge the worlds of business and journalism. This unique combination allows me to leverage both my analytical mindset and storytelling abilities, creating meaningful content that resonates in today’s media landscape.
